BROWN & CARROLL PHONE HOLDER
Over the summer of 2018 I engaged in a 3 month internship with the London/Essex based fit-out firm Brown & Carroll, the majority of my placement was spent aiding the design team in a variety of projects. However, during the last few weeks of my time with the company I was tasked with designing a phone holder that could be batch produced on an in house CNC and had some kind of company branding clearly on show. The product could be given out as a gift to the many architects, workshop owners and clientele that Brown & Carroll work with. I created a total of 5 design proposals (seen below) and through liaising with a variety of members of the workshop team I was able to secure strips of spruce, red oak and mahogany to make the phone holder from (seen above). Once final designs were chosen the product was sent through for prototyping, manufacture and distribution. The version of the phone holder shown on this page is the first of a few prototypes made (purposefully without branding).
